Transferring Applicant
We're glad you're coming to Bellevue!
Since you've already been through the financial aid process elsewhere, you are probably ready to get started right away. But before you do, there are some important things you need to know about transferring.
- Each school has different rules and processes with how they process and award financial aid. Your experience at another school may be different than it will be here at BC.
- It's likely that the information you gathered for that school will be similar to what you need to complete the process here. However, you need to complete additional documents so please lookout for correspondence from our office. Missing documents will hold up your application.
- Most financial aid awarded is exhausted early in the year so please be aware that you may receive less financial aid at Bellevue than the school that you have transferred from.
Get started with Financial Aid
Step 1: Add our school code to your FAFSA
Go back onto the FAFSA website at www.fafsa.ed.gov and add our school code (003769) so that we will receive your FAFSA results.
It usually takes 1-2 weeks for our office to receive the results of your FAFSA.
Step 2: Complete our financial aid application process
Step 3: Cancel aid that has already been awarded
If you have already been awarded aid at another school, contact that school to cancel your aid. Turn in a statement that your aid has been canceled to our office.
If you are planning on transferring credits to Bellevue, please have official transcripts sent to the Evaluations Office. See http://bellevuecollege.edu/enrollment/transfer/ for more information.
